Terms of Service
Updated October 23, 2026. Version 2026-10-23.2. These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of CostumeFlip.
1. Operator and eligibility
CostumeFlip is operated by Chen Wenjian, an individual operator in China. Contact: hello@costumeflip.com. You must be 18 or older to use the service. By uploading a photo or buying a video you accept these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy (/acceptable-use) and the Privacy Policy (/privacy-policy).
2. The service
You upload a photo (two for the Duo version), pick a costume transformation template, and receive an AI-generated vertical MP4 (by default 10 seconds, 9:16, 720p) with a generated soundtrack and no watermark. Videos are made by ByteDance Seedance 2.5 through APIMart. AI output varies: likeness, hands, small details and costume details are not guaranteed, and generation time varies.
3. Not affiliated
This is an independent tool inspired by a TikTok trend. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by DC, Warner Bros. Discovery, TikTok or the creators of the trend. Nightwing is a trademark of DC. Generated costumes are generic and must not be presented as official merchandise or an endorsement.
4. Your photos and permission
Upload only photos you have the right to use: yourself, an adult who agreed to be in this video, or your own pet. No public figures and no minors. You keep your rights in your photos and grant us the limited permission needed to store, process with the providers listed in the Privacy Policy, review and deliver your request.
5. Prices and credits
Videos are sold as one-time USD packs: 10 credits for $7.90, 30 credits for $19.90 and 100 credits for $59.90. A standard 10-second 720p video uses 10 credits; the exact credit cost is shown before you create. There is no subscription and no automatic renewal. Credits are personal, non-transferable, not cash and do not expire while the service operates. Taxes and the final total are shown at checkout.
6. Guest purchases
You can buy without an account. Credits and videos bought as a guest belong to the guest session in the browser you used. We are not responsible for loss of access caused by clearing cookies or changing browsers, but we will help you with an order if you email us the checkout email and order date.
7. Payment
Each purchase authorizes only the one-time total shown at checkout. Waffo Pancake acts as Merchant of Record. Credits are delivered after verified payment confirmation; a browser redirect is not proof of payment.
8. Failed and declined videos
Starting a video reserves its credits. If the video fails, or a safety check declines the photo or the result, the credits return to your balance automatically. If a provider result is uncertain we reconcile it before returning credits or starting again; we do not silently resubmit.
9. Refunds
You can request a refund of unused credits within 14 days of purchase by emailing hello@costumeflip.com with the checkout email and order date. Finished videos are not refundable because the model cost has been paid, but a clearly broken result can be reviewed. See /refund-policy.
10. Output use
Every finished video is AI-generated. As between you and us, you may use your finished videos for personal and social posting, subject to third-party rights, platform rules and provider terms; disclose that the video is AI-generated where a platform or law requires it. AI outputs carry no copyright or trademark clearance guarantee.
11. Breach and account action
If you break these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, we may decline requests, remove or restrict access to content, suspend or close accounts and guest sessions, and remove credits obtained through fraud or abuse. Paid, unused credits are handled under the Refund Policy, and mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected. You can appeal any action by emailing hello@costumeflip.com.
12. Availability and liability
The service is provided as available. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing limits rights that cannot lawfully be limited.
13. Law, changes and closure
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator in China, without removing mandatory protections where you live. We announce material changes at least 14 days ahead where practicable. If we close the service, unused paid credits are refunded proportionally. Contact: hello@costumeflip.com.
